El Refugio is hiring a Post-Release Program Coordinator to help immigrants and asylum-seekers being released from Stewart Detention Center get home to their families and sponsors.
This is a milestone for El Refugio, as it will be the organization’s first employee who will live in Lumpkin, the small southwest Georgia town where Stewart Detention Center is located.
Through its new Post-Release Program, El Refugio will work with partner organization to ensure a smooth transition for people being released from Stewart on bond, parole, or because they won their case.
Applications are due by July 31, 2019. The start date is September 1, 2019.
